Skills Training UK says ‘don’t stop now’! High quality online training and 1-2-1 remote support from expert trainers is being delivered to enable employees on apprenticeships, as well as learners on traineeships and adult courses, to continue training and keep on track towards qualifications. Enrolment for apprenticeships also hasn’t stopped, as we continue to support employers to enrol new apprentices onto our programmes.
As the Government states in its advice, maintaining quality apprenticeships training is a vital part of supporting the economic recovery that will follow the Covid-19 crisis.
If an employee is furloughed, then continuing their apprenticeship training is encouraged and is a very good way to maintain motivation and continue developing skills.
If an employee is working from home or self-isolating, then our online learning provides an opportunity to continue training and professional development during this difficult time.
Enrolment also remains open for new apprentices to join our apprenticeship programmes at any time. As Government guidelines state that the Apprenticeship Levy should be paid as usual, we continue to encourage Levy-paying employers to maximise their funds and work with our expert trainers to design bespoke apprenticeship programmes to meet their needs.
Skills Training UK’s high-quality online delivery has already been very well received by many employers and their apprentices.

16-24 year-olds can also enrol and study towards traineeship qualifications online and receive 1-2-1 tutor support. Their work experience opportunities will be arranged as soon as is practicably possible.
Vocational training for unemployed adults aged 19 or over who live in the West Midlands is also delivered online, through small group learning and 1-2-1 tutoring. Applications for Engineering and Manufacturing, ICT, Business Administration, Functional Skills Maths and English, and Personal Development and Employability, can all be made by filling out a simple online form.
