Good business administrators are a real asset to an organisation. Working in this field is also a great introduction to a range of office jobs and areas of business.

This qualification has been developed with employers to ensure it gives you what you need for a successful entry in to business administration. Coupled with the right work experience, you’ll be a valuable member of the office team in no time!

What does a learner need to do?

Attend regular classes either in-person or online.

Allow time for project work and study each week.

Talk to your trainer for support and guidance if you need more support.

Bring a positive attitude to class and any work experience to make sure you get the most from the opportunity.

Course content

Learners are required to complete and achieve all the units in this qualification. The core units ensure that all learners will:

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of a range of administrative support tasks.
  • Demonstrate professional behaviours and effective communication in the work environment.
  • Process business information accurately using data management software.
    • Plan and prepare for a business event according to a given brief.

Eligibility

Learners do not need to achieve any other qualifications before registering.

Qualifications

Depending on the result of your assessment you may be awarded a Level 1 or Level 2 qualification.

Assessment

Unit 1 is assessed by Pearson via a 75 minute on-screen test. It makes up 25% of the total qualification assessment.

Units 2, 3 and 4 are internally assessed based on the work you are doing on the course.

Units are assessed using a grading scale of Distinction, Merit, Pass and Unclassified. All units contribute to the overall qualification grade.
